Widely acclaimed as the first female rapper, Hard Kaur turned into a Bollywood music director with her solo album 'P.L.A.Y.' earlier this year. She has composed the title track of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'The Shaukeens', a track that has all the hallmarks of a Hard Kaur song.
With chartbusters like Ek Glassy, Move Your Body, and Char Baj Gaye to her credit, the rapper-turned-music director is enjoying her new role in the industry. "I feel like my art is getting magnified. I'm rediscovering music from so many different angles, it is inspiring me all over again," says the lady. "As a rapper, you're more concerned with the lyrics and the way they're sung. When you produce, there's so much more to music that you discover!"
The Shaukeens' is a remake of 1982 comedy movie 'Shaukeen' directed by Basu Chatterjee. It stars Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Lisa Haydon along with Akshay Kumar in his most special appearance. Produced by Cine1 Studios, Cape Of Good Films & Ashwin Varde Productions and directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film is set to release on November 7, 2014.
