Kangna going solo

For the past three days, Kangna Ranaut has been promoting her film 'Revolver Rani' solo as co-star Vir Das has taken off for IIFA awards.

As Vir was committed to co-host an event at the show, he had to skip his film's release and promotions. He plans to catch up on the film with his pals in the US.

Alia to get an expensive gift from Sajid Nadiadwala

So happy is Sajid Nadiadwala with Alia that he is waiting to gift her an expensive crystal item from Poland

His last film, 'Highway', did well at the box office and his latest production, '2 States', has also won positive feedback so far. Not surprisingly, producer Sajid Nadiadwala is over the moon about his films' resounding success.

And with both these films having starred Alia Bhatt in lead roles, Sajid now wants to gift the young actress a token of his appreciation. A source says, `His first association with Alia was the film, Highway, which did good business at box office. Now that '2 States' has also done well, he's looking to buy a gift for Alia, who he thinks has been very lucky for him.
Given that he is currently shooting in Poland for his directorial debut, 'Kick', it is being said that he may bring her a crystal item from the European country. `Sajid is going to take some time out from his schedule and buy a crystal item for Alia. Poland is known for its crystal ware and Sajid wants to get her something special.`

When contacted, Sajid chose to say nothing about the gift. He said, `'2 States' has done very well. And it's great that they both star Alia; she is a lovely girl.`

Is Sandeepa Dhar playing parellel lead in 'Heropanti'?

Sandeepa Dhar's role in Tiger Shroff's debut film has been keep under wraps

Four years ago, Sandeepa Dhar made her debut in the film, 'Isi Life Mein'. She was then seen in the Salman Khan-starrer, 'Dabangg 2'. Now it has emerged that the actress is apparently playing a parallel lead in Tiger Shroff's debut film, 'Heropanti'.

The actress, however, doesn't feature in the film's poster, nor has she taken part in its promotion. `Not many know this, but I have a full-fledged role in the film, where I play Kriti Sanon's sister. My character is a strong-headed girl, who adds a twist to the tale. But the makers are not keen to reveal much about my track,` says Dhar.
The actress adds that she had a ball while working on the film and is now in awe of lead actor, Tiger Shroff. `In one of my scenes, I get to perform a stunt with Tiger.

As part of my preparation for this scene, I learnt parkour, which borrows from military obstacle course training, from Tiger. I was also offered a commercial recently, thanks to my newly acquired skills,` Dhar says.

For Kangana, 'Revolver Rani' already a success

Kangana Ranaut's new film "Revolver Rani" is yet to release, but for the actress, it is already a success. She says the film is even better than the script envisaged.

"We have made a better film than what we had initially intended to. I already believe it is a success. How people perceive box office numbers is a different thing, but for me it is already a success," the 27-year-old said here Wednesday at a special screening of the film.

"We have made an incredible film as a team and I congratulate the filmmakers for going beyond the script from where we started," she added.

The film releases Friday. Kangana says "Revolver Rani" is not a woman-oriented film but a high-concept film which is a genre-breaker of sorts.

"We are getting a good response. It is not a woman-oriented film, it is a high-concept film. 'Revolver Rani' is a genre-breaker, you will not find any reference for this film, there has never been such a film in Bollywood which has been narrated in a cheap literature style. It is a new experience, please enjoy it," Kangana said.

Directed by Sai Kabir, "Revolver Rani" also stars Vir Das.

Dual celebration for Deshmukhs?

Genelia D'Souza who is generally inseparable from husband Riteish Deshmukh has set tongues wagging as she seems to have missed going with him to the US for an IIFA awards.

Riteish was spotted leaving alone on Tuesday for the event. Rumours say Genelia is pregnant and that's why she preferred staying home.
Her being pregnant was talked about earlier this month, but since then she hasn't given out any confirmation or denial, unlike Vidya Balan who promptly denied rumours about her impending pregnancy.

Also...

Honey Bhagnani, who is married to Riteish Deshmukh's younger brother Dheeraj is also pregnant. Vashu Bhagnani's daughter was recently spotted at a film screening with a baby bump.

Interestingly, Genelia and Riteish and Honey and Dheeraj got married in the same month - February - in 2012.
